Top vitamins women should take on a daily basis
After hours of research, and years of taking them myself, these vitamins and supplements are what I deem, “The best of the best.”
If you are looking for a “one and done” type of supplement, I’d first suggest a multivitamin that you can take every day, but all of the supplements in this article are worth taking daily.

Is it worth taking a multivitamin every day?
Absolutely. I can tell such a difference in my energy level, mood, and cognitive focus since I have started taking a multivitamin. Sometimes, if I’m feeling tired throughout the day, I think to myself, “What’s wrong with me? Did I not get enough sleep last night? Oh, wait. I forgot to take my vitamins this morning.”
And to think, that’s how I used to feel all of the time before I started taking a multivitamin that really works. I thought it was normal to feel sluggish and foggy mid-day.
Not anymore.
3 Of The Best Multivitamins for Women (that actually work)
1. Thorne Research – Basic Nutrients
If you are the type of person that shies away from taking a line-up of vitamins and supplements each day, then this is what you need. It’s gonna cover all the bases, fill in nutrition gaps left by your diet, and give you everything you are otherwise lacking in your nutrition.
This is a top-rated supplement, and for good reason. Thorne Research Basic 2 a Day is sustainably made, undergoes four rounds of testing, and contains the most bioavailable form of each vitamin and mineral. Because of this multi, I feel focused and energetic throughout the day.
Fun Fact: I was listening to a Joe Rogan episode not too long ago. He was interviewing Dr. Rhonda Patrick, who has a Ph.D. in biomedical science. She said that she takes these vitamins because one of her colleagues in the science industry tests vitamins and claims Thorne supplements and vitamins are the best you can get.
2. Source Naturals Women’s Life Force
This is the women’s version of the award-winning, Source Natural Life Force Multiple. If you need a multivitamin that works for your whole family, I would suggest that one.
However, if it’s just for you, I’d suggest this Source Natural Life Force for Women.
Their website says, “The women’s’ version adds in ingredients to help with women’s-specific issues. It is formulated with ingredients that support bone density, thyroid health, healthy skin, metabolism, and immune function.”
Therefore, in my opinion, this is the perfect multivitamin for a woman of any age.
3. Vitamin Code Women’s Raw Whole Food Vitamin Supplement with Probiotics, Vegetarian
Ahhh.. an oldie, but a goodie. This is multivitamin for women is the supplement that made me into a believer. This is the first multivitamin I ever took after it was recommended to me by my brother, who spends a good amount of time researching this stuff.
I like this one because it’s vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free whole food multivitamin, with NO binders or fillers. Plus, it contains live probiotics, which promote a healthy gut by balancing the healthy bacteria in your digestive system.
I always switch back to these from time to time.
*Important note on switching up multi-vitamins: I like rotating brands of multivitamins. I almost feel like my body gets used to a certain brand or something. This may just be me; if a brand works for you then there’s really no reason to switch. I like switching every 6 months or so.*
What other vitamins should a woman take each day?
Fish Oil This Nature Made Fish Oil does the trick for me. It’s affordable, and all of the harmful metal that can be found in fish (such as mercury) are filtered out. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which is helpful for your brain, heart, and skin health. Some studies also show that it could actually help with mental disorders.

What are the best vitamins for mental health, mood and anxiety?
Magneisium Do you want the best sleep of your life? Then go ahead and stock up on magnesium right quick. Some people recommend melatonin for sleep, but it doesn’t hold a candle to magnesium in my opinion. Your gonna want no more than about 310mg a day though. I usually take it every other day. Here are the two types I love:
Calm-I like the way this kind tastes. Mix it with water and it will mellow you out at the end of a long day just like a cold beer. It contains citric acid which pulls water and may cause an upset stomach; it doesn’t bother me though. I love it.
Doctors Best These are the best on the market if you are looking for magnesium in a tablet form. These tablets bond to glycinate which aids in the absorption.
But what about supplements for immune system?
Vitamin C Look, this stuff is expensive but so worth it. I highly recommend LivOn Labs if you are looking for a high-quality Vitamin C supplement. Each tablet is coated in liposomes, which makes it so that none of the goodness goes to waste on the way to the bloodstream.
About half of the vitamin C in a multivitamin will be gone in the form of waste within an hour; therefore, it’s important to supplement it with this for immune health and firmer skin.
Zinc is one of the most underrated immune boosters out there, IMO. Especially the ‘Rona going around, we need all the boosting we can get. What you want is Zinc Picolinate, because it absorbs wayyy better than regular zinc. I take this to ward off colds, flu, and anything else that may be going around.
But what does the research say about women taking supplements?
As with everything, there are researchers for and against taking vitamins. All I can do is research for myself and for you guys, but I know they work for me.

Wow I had no idea vitamins could help with so much! I’ve always thought that they didn’t really do much, so this is so good to know! Didn’t know Biotin helped hair growth like that and that there could be a vitamin better for sleep as opposed to melatonin!
